Point of the Month!
Lung 6 - The Chinese name for Lung 6 is Kong Zui, which translates to Greatest Hole. This point dives deep! For more information on how this plunge can help clear up issues of the skin or rescue you from a metaphorical pit of despair, check out Evelyn’s Blog Post.
Acupuncture Day - Saturday, July 12th
Did you know that acupuncture has a new official day in California? Last year, Assembly Member Low introduced HR 48 to declare July 12 California Acupuncture Day. Here’s an excerpt from the Legislative Counsel’s Digest:
WHEREAS, Many Californians have come to rely on acupuncturists as their first choice of health care practitioners for low-risk, cost-effective, and reliable health care; now, therefore, be it resolved by the Assembly of the State of California, That the Assembly hereby proclaims July 12 as California Acupuncture Day, and encourages all Californians to consider the use of acupuncture.
Come celebrate with an acu-nap today!
Vagaro Swap Tips & Updates
Thank you all for being patient with us as we figure out the new scheduling system. For the most part things have been going ok, but we apologize for any bumps you may have encountered. Hopefully we will all be used to the new system soon. Below are a few tips:
Substack Newsletter Email List
After our switch to Vagaro we have run into a bit of a glitch uploading new clients to the substack email list. Some people may have been added to our list twice, or re-submitted to the list after unsubscribing in the past. If you start getting this email and don’t want it, please unsubscribe yourself, or ask us to help you. Hopefully this is a one time issue.
Vagaro Profiles
As you are starting to use Vagaro it would be great if you could take a second to make sure that your profile is up to date by checking the following:
Your first and last names are entered correctly
Current email
Current phone number
This way we know who is coming to see us and we can contact you if need be.
Appointment Notes
It seems that many of you have been taking advantage of the notes feature when booking. Sometimes this is helpful if you are booking for a buddy, haven't been in for a long time, or have something new going on, but otherwise you can just skip past this as we can rely on our chart notes. Also, though we do usually look at these appointment notes, we will still ask you what’s up when you come in….it’s just how we roll.
Accidental Double Bookings
We have noticed a number of people have been accidentally double booking back to back appointments. This seems to happen when you pick more than one service before searching for an appointment time. Please only select one service at a time when booking (don’t click the little green button that says “+service”), and double check that you only have one appointment time selected before clicking the final “BOOK” button.
