Sacramento Acupuncture Project: Point of the Month and More!
Point of the Month!
Our point this month is Lung 3 or Tian Fu, which could translate as Heavenly Residence, Celestial Storehouse or Palace of Heaven. It is a window of the sky point, and has the strange function of anchoring the aspect of the soul referred to as the Po, or Corporeal Soul. Jeff really likes to use this point to treat grief and “Melancholy Crying Ghost Talk”. If this all sounds interesting and you want to hear more check out Our Blog.
Anti-Weight Stigma Poster
Here at OAP we will not comment on your weight or monitor your size, as we believe that humans can be healthy at every size! Check out the Awesome Anti-Weight Stigma Poster created by Guelph Community Acupuncture that you may have seen posted around the clinics. We want to be a welcoming place that you look forward to coming to so that we can accompany you on your road to wellness. For this reason we strive to keep judgment and shame out of the clinic.
Community Acupuncture Megalist
Our friends at West Philly Community Acupuncture put together a list and a map of all the community acupuncture around the whole United States. It’s pretty impressive! If you’re ever traveling and want to keep your treatments consistent, or you have a family member you want to send to a local community clinic, check out the list on their website.
Spring Equinox
As spring unfolds, with its gusts of wind, raising temperatures, and increased daylight, it is typical to feel stirred to action. These spring winds not only stoke our burners, but they can also dredge up trouble in the form of allergies, colds, and emotional unrest. Take a moment to read Dawn’s latest Spring Equinox Blog for some tips about how acupuncture can help!
